Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough

I had fever in my body & irritation in my throat four days ago. Then I took Levocetrizine & paracetamol tablets, one each twice daily for four days. Throat irritation has reduced but it is still there, with occasional expulsion of cough. Should i take azibact 500 now?

Hello
You are having sore throat , ,fever ,throat irritation ( still persist ), with sever cough .
You took levoceterizine ( anti allergic tablet i.e antihistamine ) and paracetamol . Still irritation present with cough ( expulsion ).
Azibact or azithromycin 500 mg is a macrolide type of antibiotics and very effective in upper respiratory infection ( as in your case in throat) , yes you can take it.
In my opinion also take dextromethophan lozenge for throat clearance .
Cough syrup with terbutaline+ ambroxole + chlorpheniramine maleat will also help .
Hope this will help you.
Good luck.
