Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough

I have a-fib and I am on Dabigatram 150 mg, and propafonone 225 mg and have a bad UIRI and extreme coughing. I was told I cannot use anything with DM on its label. All of the cough meds, over the counter, contain Dextromethorphan HBr in various dosages, is that what the DM stands for? If so what can I take to control my cough, or do I have to see my Dr. for a codine cough med.

the treatment should be according to real cause if it is with expectoration then sputum for AFB to be done first.for other problem and medication should consult pulmunologist for complete check up and investigation. now treatment can be given as per his advise. no treatment should be given without justification.
