Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough During Pregnancy
I am 37 weeks 2 days pregnant and have a horrible deep chesty cough that I cannot get relief from. My ob put me on Keflex for a week with no results, then a cough syrup with codeine. This did not work either. He then prescribed me medrol 4mg (just took last dose for day 2) and also a z pack. My coughing is so severe that I lose my breath and end up feeling faint and now when I cough, I have excruciating pain in my right side. Also during a couching spell, which lasts upwards of 10 mins at a time, I feel lots of pressure in my vagina and perineum area. Will this severe cough poss cause labor (2 cm dilated, 100% effaced and her head can be felt) and how can I make the mucus come up when its so painful to cough?

From what u are telling looks like u still have some lung infection in the lungs u may need antibiotics nebulizer ion and cough suppressants bur wat exactly will help can be said only if a day examines you.u may get into labour anytime so good to get ur cold treated now.
