Suggest Treatment For Severe Cough And Hoarseness In The Voice

Hi !am Kevin,recently i had a flue accompanied with a cough,i went to hospital and wad given some medicine;betadine mouth wash,ascoril and cataflam.I used them for one week and the flue is gone and the coughing is almost gone however i cant speak clearly for two weeks now,am really struggling to speak and the voice that come out sound really funny.what could be the problem?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have symptoms of severe cough and hoarseness in voice which seems to be due to upper respiratory tract infection and travel of inefction down into larynx leading to laryngitis.

Need not to worry. I would suggest you to consult ENTspecialist once without any delay for proper examination and treatment. Doctor may order blood test for infection and throat swab test. Doctor may prescribe proper course of antibiotics along with decongestants and mucolytic agent. Avoid intake of sharp and spicy food. Avoid cold beverages.
