Suggest Remedies For Severe Constipation After Changing To A High Fat Diet

I have been taking morphine sulfate for approx 6 years. In 2014 i had back surgery where they fused my vertebrae . The surgery was not very successful and I still was having a lot of pain. My doctor kept me on morphine sulfate extended release and it has worked great. I have not had any real issues with constipation until recently. I have changed my diet to a low carb high fat. I started this way of eating in April of this year and have successfully lost 54 pounds but have found that it is a double edge sword when it comes to regular bowel movements. In the last month it has become a real issue and I have been unable to find any relief. any suggestions would be helpful.

Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Long term use of Morphine can affect the bowel although you did not have the issue for the last so many years.
SP surely the changed died to low carb and high fat has altered to constipation.
But since this helped you to loose weight please continue as it is which may help further for back and and improve the results of spine surgery.
Add on Isapgol husk, stool softeners and laxatives as your required dosages and as suited.
This will help to redol e your problems.
