Suggest Treatment For Severe Conjunctivitis

my 12 year old son has had a really severe case of conjunctivitis since yesterday and is now being sick, bile only. I just wondered if it is common to have these together. We are bathing the eye with cool boiled water. Is there any over the counter drops or ointment that I can get for him? Thank you

Hi 1
Conjuctivitis is contagious hence save the other eye and eye of others by simple healthy hygeine.
Do not wash much with water,
When I get such patient in my clinic, I used to prescribe Gancigel eye oint X 5 times a day, Monteleukast tab once a day, Paracetamol tab 500 mg once a day for 5 days then see for follow up.
If response is favourable then start simple Lotepred eye drop in tapering dose from the third day in addition.Put one lubricating tear substitute eye drops.
If cornea is affected then will need cycloplegics i.e. specialists intervention please.
