Suggest Treatment For Severe Congestion And Cough
I have had congestion in my chest for five months now. Been told it was uri, or pnumonia. But my x- rays and ct scan showed nothing. I cough so hard and so much, nothing comes up and a think I finally broke a rib. Need help. Can't get to a pulmonoligist till next month.

Cough going on for a long time can be due to multiple reasons like COPD, asthma, acid reflux etc.
You should get spirometry first.
Rib fractures heals by itself. It does not need any surgery unless its causing trauma to lung. You can take ibuprofen for pain.
