Hi Dr I had a laporoscopy and inserted copper t four months ago. Since then I menstruae continuealy. Have been back to gynae, he gave me pills to stop bleeding and put me on Yasmin. The period stops now and again fot maybe a few days, then continues again for sometimes two week, three weeks. They say i need time to adjust, what can I do?? So frustrated and desperate. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Continuous bleeding on and off and not controlling even after taking medication when you are on Copper T needs proper evaluation.
This could be because of Copper T itself causing this side effect.
Since it making you bother about it and also making you uncomfortable, it is better to go for Copper T removal and switch to some other mode of contraception which would suit you and you could be comfortable with.
Kindly contact your doctor at the earliest.
Hope the information provided would be useful.
All the best.
