Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain

Hi, I am Jasmine from India. I have one friend who has got a severe back pain problem which has failed medical management. she is only 37 and is finding it very difficult to sit for long hours, bend and do her activities of daily living. Is there any relief for her from Amway?

Hi,
If the pain is of radiating type, then it is probably IVDP ( since it is so severe ) in which case we need to clinically evaluate (SLRT & neurological assessment) and get an MRI SCAN done.

If the pain is not radiating , and if happens only after sitting for long periods of time , then it may be due to paraspinal spasm ( secondary to LS Strain ).In this case please follow the following treatment.

1) Rest
2) Low back exercises (mainstay of treatment )
3) LS CORSET (belt)
4) Dicloran gel for local application
5) Hot water fomentation
6) T.myoril 8 mg 1-0-1 ......for 1 week
