Suggest Treatment For Severe Back Pain

Hi, I ve been having severe back pain on the left side that radiates to my abdomen. I am nauseous, and I did vomit a little. I went to the ER on Thursday and was told I have a UTI and a strained back. They put me on Cipro. This is not the first UTI I have had. I am diabetic, hypertensive, and I have high cholesterol...all under control. The medication does not seem to working because I still feel awful. What else could be the problem?
