Suggest Treatment For Severe Back And Hip Pain

I have been experiencing lower back and hip pain when I try to sleep. I also have been experiencing nerve pain down the front of my thigh. Occasionally if I have been sitting for a long time I will feel the pain during the day, but it primarily happens when I lay down. Is this sciatica? What could be the cause? Thanks.

Hi,

It can be sciatica or spine related problems like a disc prolapse.

As a first line management, you can take analgesics like Tramadol or Gabapentin, both of them are very much effective for neuropathic pain as in your case.

If pain persists, better to consult a neurologist and be evaluated. You may need an MRI scan for further evaluation.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
