Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety

I am a stage 4 COPD patient that has really bad anxiety attacks up to three times a day. I have used Alprazolam 0.25MG tablets that work just fine. My new Dr has recently changed this med and now has me on Hydroxyzine Pamoate 25 MG Capsules and they do nothing for me at all. What is your take on this if you please! Thankyou, Shere

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello thank you for writing us here.
Anti anxiety medicines are of many types. Its the doctor's choice which one to give. If I would have seen you, I would have given you some other medicine.
You should talk to your new doctor and tell that the new medicines are not working and get back to older medicines. If its not helping you, you can change your medicines.

Best regards,
Dr Gunjan
