Suggest Treatment For Severe Anxiety

Hello sir/madam,my name is vinay. I am suffering from anxiety,phobia and depression too badly. I am taking treatment from last 4 years from psychiatrist. Unfortunately it is not promising. therefore I am looking for a permanent solution. Do you have any such neurological operation or treatment that can cure this permanently

Hello thanks for asking from HCM

You are suffering from anxiety, phobic disorder and depression. You are not getting proper relief with medicines. Some times conventional medicines fails to provide relief in depression and anxiety in such case treatment guidelines of resistant depression are advised.

Augmentation drugs like Lithium, Lamotrigine etc are advised along with conventional antidepressants (SSRIs or SNRIs). For relief of severe anxiety and panic medicines like benzodiazepines or beta blockers as propranolol can prove useful if taken on SOS basis. If even with augmentation you fails to get relief then other methods of treatment are needed.

Electro Convulsive Therapy can be a good option in case of resistant depression. Deep Brain Stimulation, RTMS (Trans cranial magnetic stimulation) can prove useful in non remitting recurrent depression. Consult a psychiatrist for proper treatment.

I went through your details. You are already under treatment of a psychiatrist. You are supposed to trust your doctor and work with him for a cure. If not, find a psychiatrist whom you trust. There are no surgical procedures for cure of anxiety. Meditation, psychotherapy and exercises can help if perfected. Consult a psychologist for psychotherapy and meditation techniques. You should learn to manage your anxiety disorder. If you learn to manage them, they don't disturb you.
