Suggest Treatment For Severe Acne Break Out On Body And Face

Hello, I`ve been taking doxycicline since June to my post abortion acne, and now Ive been prescribed 10mg isotretinoin since the doxy didnt take care of that, My skin now is not too bad, but when i stop the doxy abou 3 ,4 cysts form and my face neck, shoulders and back all break out ,Im horrified of getting of te doxy and starting accutane because I dont tink I can handle the breakout for 1/2 months, please help

Hi. Isotretinoin would take care of acne; however, it might take some time. You may add Azithromycin 500 mg once a day for 3 days per week for 2-3 weeks. It would help with big lesions. Add topical benzoyl peroxide 2.5% (BPO) twice daily. BPO is very effective in controlling inflammatory lesions. Make sure you apply a small amount only (pea size) and dont rub it. Hope it helps.
