Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Itching When Diagnosed With TB

Hello doctors,my father is suffering from lymphnode abdominal tb and diabetic.treatment started on 9 feb 2017. medicines are R-Cinex 450/300 ,Pyrazinamide 1250 mg,Pyridoxine 20mg. After taking one month medicine he feel severe itching on stomach and back with some red pimples. He can t even sleep properly.and his his weight is reduced 4 kg.Please suggest what is going wrong.

Hello, i just read through your question which you asked about your father who is suffering form TB and has been prescribed with R-Cinex and pyrazinamide and has severe itching on his stomach and back and associated rashes accompanied by weight loss of 4 kg.
Well these are the side effects from R-Cinex which is known to cause these symptoms such as skin rashes and weight loss .
The weight loss is mainly due to the poor appetite which he has after taking this drug.
These problems will resolve when he completes his course for the prescribed duration which is of out most importance.He will then regain his weight with a good nutritious diet.
For the rashes you can use a calamine lotion to soothe them.
Just make sure that in case he has breathing difficulty or his skin rashes worsen too much then take him to a nearby physician without any further delay.
