Suggest Treatment For Severe Abdominal Cramps And Difficulty Urinating
diagnosed with bacterial overgrowth in small intestine.....treated with cipro and flagyl for 8 days...stopped per dr. order due to extreme diarrhea and other side effects for 8 days..off now for a week..today; lower left quadrant pain, cramping all over, can not urinate, bowel movements are sedimentary...no fever
You could have intestinal infection which has failed to subside with cipro and flagyl even after complete course of treatment.
The reason could be insufficient dosage or drug resistance or failure to absorb from intestine.
You should do complete hemogram, urine and stool tests, blood culture and sensitivity.
As you had diarrhoea with left side pain, cramps then you will require parentral antibiotics with other symptommatic treatment and fluid electrolyte replacement.
