Suggest Treatment For Seroma

Hi I have a seroma following a tummy tuck nearly 5 yrs ago it has always been there i attened out patients 12 months after surgery and had it drained several times. i was then discharched and told it would go on its own . however it is still there and getting bigger currently the size of a melon i am due to go back to the out patients again after 18months can it be surgically removed?

Hello and thank you for your question. It is true that this type of seroma usually resolves on its own, but if it does not it can be surgically removed. Especially with yours being so large I think a surgical removal would be indicated. I am glad that you are going to see your physician again soon. Best wishes and thank you for using HCM.
