Suggest Treatment For Sensitive Nails

My fingernails have been messed up. They get injured easily and have a history of the white part of my nail spreading down. I have not worn nail polish or had a gel manicure in a couple of weeks. I take biotin and I know the process takes long. Even though my nails are growing very slowing and the white part is lifting up, my nail is also sensitive and red when you touch it. Why does the white part keep spreading down?

thank you for posting on HCM.
as per your history, you may have fungal infection of nail(onychomycosis).
-- do not worry.
-- it is a fungal infection, has to be treated with topical and oral antifungals.
--do not immerse your hands in water for a long time, as it may aggravate infection.
-- do not apply nail polish.
-- do not manicure or pedicure.
-- you may continue taking biotin, but it will be of no help to nails.
-- consult a dermatologist nearby for prescription of antifungals.
