I am having discomfort on my sides. Above my waist, probably about where kidneys are. It feels more sore when I wake up ,like I m crushing something by lying on it. It limits my movement (like trying to wipe)it seems like it s on both sides but right now only my left is really bothering me.i am relatively healthy. Only diagnosis is of thoracic lumbar scoliosis.

Hello!
Welcome on Healthcaremagic!

Lumbar scoliosis can trigger all this clinical situation. You should know that lumbar spine chronic degenerations can cause chronic back pain.
I would just recommend performing a lumbar spine MRI study to exclude possible spinal canal stenosis, although your symptoms are not typical of this disorder.
A lot of physical activity to reinforce your back muscles would help reduce the pain. A muscle relaxant or gabapentine could be helpful too.
You should discuss with your doctor on the above options.

Wishing all the best, Dr. Aida
