Hi,

How sample for culture was taken- from throat swab or from blood? Was culture done before initial treatment also? If the sample was from throat, and no rash or fever now, this indicates streptococcal carriage, and need not be taken as scarlet fever. If a sensitive antibiotic (as per culture report) is given for a complete course, streptococcus usually clears out rapidly. Your doctor will discuss in detail.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
