Suggest Treatment For Salivary Gland Stone

I have been diagnosed with a stone in my salivary gland which is quite swollen and sore. A clinic doctor put me on antibiotics, told me to swish lemon juice and see my doctor next week. Am I going to miss a cruise to Alaska in a week? In other words, will I have to cancel the cruise. Don t know what to do about this.

Hi dear ,

Salivary gland stones ( salivary calculi ) can become lodged in the duct leading from the salivary gland, blocking the flow of saliva into the mouth. This can cause swelling and pain in the gland. Usually, a procedure is needed to have the stone removed, although it can sometimes come out of the mouth on its own, or after a bit of probing . Sucking on lemon candy is also a good option many times this method remove the stone . Doctor can remove it by doing minor surgery if lemon candy doesn't work . There is one more option available which is also ver effective that is Shock wave treatment (lithotripsy) .

Hope your concern has been resolved.
