Suggest Treatment For Runny Nose, Cough And Dry Eyes

Live in a rental facility. Have been complaining about my air conditioning filter is always clean. They kept ignoring me. Finally they responded and I received a new unit two days ago. The old unit was full of mold. Workers had me take pictures. I am 84 years old in very good health, but have been having a runny nose and cough the last six months. Also had dry eye and mouth. Started opening my door at night and that s better. Do I have any right to sue the management.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is due to local allergy.

As a first line management you can take antihistamines like cetirizine for symptomatic relief. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain,
General & Family Physician
