Suggest Treatment For Running Nose After Endoscopy
Had an endoscopy today under anesthesia. Ever since, & now 11 hours later, have had a runny nose but just out of my left nostril. Also sneezing a lot. I assume this is a reaction to either anesthesia or the oxygen. How long will this last & is there anything I can do to alleviate this? Thank you

Hello,
It is quite common after an endoscopy and is due to minor inflammation and irritation after the procedure.
Nothing much to worry and you can use antihistamines like Cetirizine for symptomatic relief.
Generally, the symptoms will settle in a couple of days and you can consult an ENT specialist if symptoms persist for long.
