Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am uncircumcised and tore the skin right underneath the head of my penis. During sexual activity. It was healing fine but I think it was torn worse but this time it doesn t bleed. I have a eighth inch circle tear and kind of white around the edges I also have red irritated area on the foreskin above the penis where when the skin is not pulled back it would touch the torn spot. I have having a burning pain while I urinate. I originally thought the torn skin was no big deal but now I am having a burning pain while I urinate. I have had uprotected sex with my girlfriend of six months. I thought it would heal but has not. It happened one week ago but the burning sensation has only been 2 days. I know she is loyal to me but I am scared it might be a disease or could it be just from the tear and getting infected.
Foreskin can get torn during sex and cause discomfort. In such case, further sexual activity should be avoided until the foreskin heals.Tight foreskin can occur due to an infection, inflammation, or scarring from an underling condition. Cortico-steroid cream can be applied on the foreskin and massaged to make the skin more supple. Pain killers like Ibuprofen can also be taken.
Surgical options include preputioplasty or frenuloplasty. Sexual activity can be resumed 6 weeks after treatment. Since you have mentioned burning urination, urinary tract infection should be ruled out.Urine routine, culture and sensitivity should be done and antibiotic treatment should be started.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
