Suggest Treatment For Right Ear Infection

I have right ear infection more than 2 weeks. At first doctor gave me amoxycillin 500mg three times a day. After one day later my ear bleeding was started & then doctor change antibiotic & gave me co-amoxyclav three times a day. After one week later bleeding was stopped and all blood become dry. Then doctor gave gentamycin & told me to continue Co-amoxyclav for another one weeks. After three days later now again my ear bleeding started. Now my question is because of gentamycin again bleeding was started or dry blood clot become soft. What will I do?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

You should get an x-ray nasopharynx lateral view for adenoids done and send me so that I can suggest you better.
Sometimes operating the adenoids only relieve all the symptoms with no need for grommet insertion but in few cases, grommet insertion is required along with adenoid surgery.
I would advise you not to go for only grommet insertion as it will not treat the exact cause for the disease.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Ivan R. Rommstein, General Surgeon
