Suggest Treatment For Redness And Bruising On The Leg

I fell 6 days ago, bruising my right leg, below the knee. Moderate swelling with bruising and redness on front of leg. Today, I have intense burning when I first get up from sitting and start walking. It eases up after a while. Flexing my foot also seems to agitate, but lessens as I relax my foot. What have I done? I am also a diabetic (type 2), and taking Plavix for perifial artery disease in my head.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read your message and understood your problem.

I see you have experienced a trauma in your right leg. You are diabetic and this means that you need to give more time till the tissues get healed.

Diabetic people have weaker vessels and immune system which make the wounds and tissue damage heal slower than in other people.

Try to message your leg with essential oils to improve blood circulation and promote a faster recovering. You can take topical analgesic creams which contain ibuprofen that will help you kill the pain.

Hope this was helpful
