Suggest treatment for red welts on leg with swelling

One year old has a 1in diameter red welt on leg. Just one. Its flat but raised out pretty big from skin and you can see where it has swelled around the hair follicles on the shin. We do not have bed bugs 100%sure. As we have a dog come sniff on top of a monthly sray to prevent them as were terrified from last place. My other son did have severe reactions to something as simple as an ant bite but this seems different.

Hi.
As per your case history your child is having papular urticaria.
My treatment advice is -
1. Wear full sleeve clothes to avoid further such episodes.
2. Apply a mild antibiotic plus steroid cream like fusiderm-b cream twice daily on it.
3. Give an antihistamine syrup like atarax 2.5ml twice a day.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral steroid taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
