Suggest Treatment For Red Spots In The Back Of The Throat

My 10 tr old son has very swollen red socks in the back of his throat, one is quite enlarged and has what looks like 2 white teeth embedded, he does not seem sick or does not have and pain, though has had a weak immune system as of late. Do you know what this may be?
Thank you ,

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

As per your complain it seems that your son has granular Pharyngtis leading to white spots in throat along with enlarged tonsils that can be due to Tonsillitis or inflammation of tonsils..
The white teeth like structures that you are seeing can be tonsil stones or can also be pus pockets secondary to infection..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like Throat swab culture can help in diagnosis and treatment can be planned accordingly..
He can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti inflammatory painkillers, warm saline gargles..
He can also be advised to take a soft diet and avid spicy and chilled foods..
In case if there are tonsil stones manual removal with the help of fine tweezers can be done by the physician..
In case if the symptoms does not improve or there is very frequent episodes of the same Tonsillectomy taht is surgical removal of tonsils can be advised..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards.
