Suggest Treatment For Red Spots And Acne Scars On Face

Hello Doctors, I am 26 yrs old female. I hope you can enlighten me on three issues: 1. I have had acne since my teens. I still get pimples. The result is pores on my face and some scarring. It doesnt look awkward, but I look quite mature because this. I wish I could have my smooth young skin back. 2. My hair grows very slowly. Even though I trim it just once a year it doesnt grow beneath my nape. I used to have thick, strong hair. But over the years it has thinned. I also faced significant hair loss due to a medication I was taking for 1.5 years. How can I have long and healthy hair? Also, any way to deal with greying? 3. I had a field based job in Rajasthan for 5 months in 2013. I used to avoid sunscreen due to pimples they caused. I noticed that I have not been able to get rid of the tan I picked then (on my face and arms). My skin also significantly became coarse (giving me that mature look). Can this damage be reversed? I would be grateful to allopathic as well as ayurvedic suggestions. Thanks a lot for your time! - Mitra

Hello
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns. Firstly, for acne drink a lot of water and wash your face thrice a day with mild face wash like Cetaphil oily skin cleanser. To keep the pores clean and prevent acne always remove your makeup before sleep. Keep skin moist as dry skin tends to produce more oil making acne worse. Apply non greasy moisturizer like Acne Moist (available at pharmacy all over India) before going to bed after cleaning your face. Over a period of time skin will get better with care do not expect instant results.
Secondly, hair growth depends on various factors including genetic factors add nutritious food to diet like yoghurt, walnuts, sprouts, fish and beans. For graying of hair, nothing much can be done but to improve your hair health add a single daily dose of tablet Trichoton. It will not just help with hair growth but also prevent further graying of hair.
Thirdly, sun rays causes a lot of damage to skin tan is just a small aspect to it, solar damage causes premature ageing of skin and the damage done is not 100% irreversible. But adding antioxidant rich food like Indian gooseberry, grapes, berries and green tea will help reversing the signs of solar damage to a great extent. Apart from this add a daily dose of vitamin C like Tablet Limcee 500mg to improve the appearance of skin.
Lastly, always use sunscreen when going out. Use matte sunscreen if oily skin is your issue, like Cetaphil DermaControl oil control moisturizer with SPF 30.
Hope your concern is answered. Thank you.
