Suggest Treatment For Red Round Patch On Under Part Of Arm
Hi, I have a small red round patch on the upper under part of the arm. No pain. Not scaly. Not particularly bumpy. Some colour differences within the patch but mainly a consistent red colour. I first noticed it just over 3 weeks ago and have being using Canistane fungicide for 2 weeks. No change at all. Would appreciate any guidance. Thanks.

Hi.
As per your case history you are having intertrigo axilla.
My treatment advice is -
1. Maintain good hygiene and bath twice daily.
2. Apply an antifungal cream like clotrimazole cream twice daily on it.
3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine if itching occurs.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral fluconazole taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
