Suggest Treatment For Recurring Urinary Tract Infection
I went to a clinic Saturday for a uti. They prescribed me an antibiotic. Sunday I started to feel some of the side effects, so I called the place. They told me I could stop taking it if i wanted to so I did. Now I am feeling some of the uti symptoms again. I m not sure if I should call them again or what
I have gone through your medical history carefully and understood your concerns.
UTI is commonly treated with antibiotics. Sometimes, they would give side effects such as GI problems. I believe you might have developed diarrhea or abdominal cramps.
Usually, I prescribe probiotics and oral anti-mycotics (like nystatin) along with antibiotics.
Anyway, if you have UTI, you need antibiotics. So, try to contact your doctor again to prescribe another antibiotic.
Do not forget to use urine antiseptics like cranberry or uva-ursi.
Wish fast recovery! Dr.Albana
