Hello,

Thank you for asking at HCM.

I went through your history and would like to make suggestions for you as follows:

1. First of all, I would like to know about your symptoms in great detail, like since how long you have skin symptoms, how they worsen, how they improve, how long they last, whether they respond to drugs, day/night variations, seasonal variations, any other medical conditions, any other medicine intake, etc etc. This will help me to understand your problem better and to make suggestions for you more specifically.

2. From your current given history, I would first think of "urticaria", and there many causes for it like some physical factors, allergies, micronutrient deficiencies, infections, endocrine disorders, immune disorders, some drugs, etc. With details of your symptoms and appropriate investigations, it may be possible to identify cause of your urticaria.

3. For control of symptoms, I would suggest my patients an antihistamine like cetirizine or levocetirizine during day and hydroxyzing before going to bed. (hydroxyzine may cause sedation)

4. If you have dry skin, regular application of moisturizer or lotion like calamine may also help you to reduce itching.

5. Please do not scratch the itchy areas as it would worsen itching.

Hope above suggestions will be helpful to you.

Should you have any further query, please feel free to ask at HCM.

Wish you the best of the health ahead.

Thank you & Regards.
