Hi Doctor, My name is Anu. For past 8-9 months I am continuously having Pharyngitis. I take Antibiotics every time it Occurs. But still it occurs in maximum of the 3 days after completion of Antibiotics. I got married last October. I am done with consulting more and more doctors. It even effects our family life now. I feel no hope in this now. I was madly researching on this disease and happened to see this site. I wonder any such patients like me exists. It would be really really great if you can guide me on what treatment i should undergo. Warm Regards, Anu
Hi Madam, yes, you got the right website. The cause of the chronic pharyngitis is always found out either in sinusitis or the lung infection. I would advise you the following and follow this strictly if you want a possible solution: - Get the whole blood count including sugar, Gold Quantiferone test for tuberculosis. - CT scan of the Chest. See that you are not pregnant as you are just married. - MRI of the sinuses (MRI to avoid radiation). All these tests will give the diagnosis, get the problem treated and you will be fine for lifetime. -See that you do not get pregnant till the diagnosis and treatment is completed.
