Is there a permanent cure to acne. Like totally stopping it from ever recurring.? I doubt but just hoping some genius doc somewhere would have a positive answer. What is the best medication to control present acne and prevent it further. Have tried everything from isotretinoin, antibiotics, clindamycin, adapelene, benzoyl peroxide, Sali, glycol peels, but this damn thing keeping popping up, tired!

Hi.
As per your case history of acne, my treatment advice is -
1. Acne can be controlled with proper care - avoiding sun exposure, avoiding cosmetics, not to squeeze the lesions, avoiding fast food and dairy products.
2. You a salicylic acid face wash twice daily and a clindamycin plus Niacinamide gel twice daily.
3. 3 months course of oral minocycline or isotretinoin in tapering dose can be taken. Other treatment option for recurrent cases is oral eithnyl estradiol plus cyproterone acetate course for 6 months.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
