Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Skin Rash On Buttock Area

I am a 35 year old male and in generally good health. I have had a rash that comes and goes in my buttcrack area. This has been present for over a year now. Sometimes it will be extremely raw and then will crust over and be fine. Then it will turn raw again. This pattern always continues like this.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to a fungal infection. I recommend using an antifungal cream for local application such as Clotrimazole cream. I also suggest to maintain a good hygiene and use cotton loose underwear.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
