Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Nausea

I've been nausea and not feeling well for around 2 weeks, I'm drinking a lot but I cant get my appetite back. Every once in a while I get pretty nausea and start not feeling good...so I take my prescribed nausea pills, which tends to help most of the time. The doc said viruses normally last 7-10 days, but sometimes (rarely) 2 weeks. It's been 2 weeks and 1 day, I'm better than when I first got it, but just wanna be back to 100% better and stop getting nausea and feeling sick! Any suggestions or comments would be great... I need to get feeling better!

Hi.
Thanks for your query.
Noted the history and understood the concerns.
Yes, it is true that stomach virus can stay for a long time as said by your Doctor.
But if the nausea is persistent there are other reasons that have to be ruled out before one to say virus being the cause.
There can be gastritis, ulcer, GERD, liver and other intestinal pathology.
Hence I would advise you the following in such a situation:
Upper GI Endoscopy.
Blood tests for CBC, liver and kidney functions.
Ultrasonography of abdomen.
If a cause is found during the clinical evaluation or investigations it will be treated specifically.
Till then continue anti-nausea pills round the clock.
Get a PPI like Omeprazole and antacids.
Avoid the foods and beverages that cause the problems.
