Suggest Treatment For Recurrent Bacterial Vaginosis

Hello, I had bacterial vaginosis two months ago, now I have a new sexual partner and the symptoms (unpleasant odor) are back. The problem is that I am from Europe, but I am in USA right now and I don t have an insurance. Is there any way I could treat it at home, or do I have to go to a doctor for antibiotics. Can it be any doctor or only gynecologist? Thank you

Hi,

You should treat your bacterial vaginosis correctly.

You can ask for mixture medications that are used to treat vaginosis at your local drugstore. The mixture should contain metronidazole and/or econzaole/miconazole drugs among others. Vaginal probiotic suppositories are also advised to treat your vaginosis.

Please apply good hygienic measures for your genitalia and avoid having sex until improvement.
Try not to change sexual partners and to urinate right after having sexual intercourse.

Wish fast recovery!
