Suggest Treatment For Recurrent UTI

hi im a patient with reaccuring utis and about a week ago i started feeling the symptoms again. I took 2 or 3 doses of antibiotics i already had but realized they were expired so i stopped and went to my dr. she prescribed me microbid and took a urine culture. well my test results came back negative but i still feel the burning and pressure. Can you get a false reading when you took antibiotics but only 2 or 3 doses?

Hello,

Of course, the uroculture results are not reliable when you are using antibiotics.
Do an uroculture at least five days after antibiotics usage.
Meanwhile you can take cranberry juice or tea for disinfection.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Olgeta Xhufka, General & Family Physician
