Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Hello, I am a 38 year of male who has been in the ER and hospital twice in the last 3 weeks for a UTI that spred to my kidneys and was septic. I was admitted for 2 days, discharged and was on antibotics for a week. The other day I was back at ER (different hospital) for same symptoms but the urine test and blood test should not UTI I just got the PSA results today and my PS % free is 9. I had a prostate infection at age 15. Also at this last ER visit the DR did a rectual exam and said my prostate was not enlarged but lumpy. Should I be concerned of prostate cancer?
As the PSA is very much elevated and UTI has been ruled out, we have to rule out prostate related problems like prostatitis (inflammation of prostate) or prostate cancer.

Suggest Treatment For Recurrent UTI
Hi, As the PSA is very much elevated and UTI has been ruled out, we have to rule out prostate related problems like prostatitis (inflammation of prostate) or prostate cancer. You can consult a urologist and plan for a prostate biopsy. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
