Hello,

Rectal pain can occur due to many causes like sphincter muscle contractions(Anal spasms), straining due to constipation or haemorrhoids, fissures or injury, diarrhoea, prolonged sitting sometimes it can be due to anorectal melanoma( metastasis).

You are recommended to get physically examined & evaluated because your treatment will depend upon the case of the discomfort.

In the meantime take plenty of water to avoid constipation, take laxatives before bed, acetaminophen(tylenol) to get rid of pain. Take sitz bath 2-3 times a day.

Take fiber in your diet. Hydrocortizone ointments are effectively reduce the pain & itching.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
