Suggest Treatment For Rashes On The Leg

I have an area on my leg that burns like a sunburn and is real sensitive to the touch. No redness or rash. Skin looks normal. I have had this for a week now. Tonight I noticed 3 red spots have appeared in an area just adjacent to the area with the soreness. The only thing I have done that might have lead to this is wearing new exercise shorts without washing them first. How should I treat this?

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hi.
As per your case history of burns like lesion, my treatment advice is -
1. Apply a soothing lotion like calamine lotion on affected region twice daily.
2. Take a NSAID like ibuprofen for pain.
3. Take a vitamin c supplement once daily for 15 days.
4. Other treatment options are oral antibiotics, oral vitamin b12 taken only after consulting a dermatologist.

Thanks.
Dr. Harshit bhachech.
MBBS, DDVL.
