Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have what I believe is an allergic reaction to my Christmas tree and whatever it was sprayed with. When I brought it home my face and arms were in contact wit the tree while putting it into the tree stand. By the next morning I had developed a rash on my face and arms. It is extremely itchy and my face is slightly puffy. I have been treating the itching with cortisone cream and Benadryl cream but the itch remains. I am wondering how long this might last and if I should see my doctor for some prednisone. Please help. I am getting quite frustrated. Thanks.
You should take antihistamine like Levocetrizine and along with it you can start applying Calamine lotion or Caladryl lotion.. Do cool compresses over the face or wash your face frequently with cool water... You can also apply cooled aloevera gel over the face..
Hope this helps..
Regards.
