Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Cheeks

I have two questions.. A little over a year ago, I developed this rash-Ike problem on my cheeks. It never goes away but can become hardly noticeable. It doesn t feel any different from the rest of my face, but it looks like small holes in my skin? It is a reddish color when it flares up and nothing seems to help it. Is there any ointment I can use to help it? My second question..I woke up yesterday to these small black spots all over both of my arms, shoulders, and some of my chest. I ve not had this problem before. They aren t black heads and I don t know what could have brought this on so suddenly. What could it be and how can I treat it? Other than the weird rash like thing on my face, I ve never had skin problems.

Dermatologist 's  Response
Hello,

I can understand your concern for the rashes on cheeks and small black spots all over both of my arms, shoulders. After analyzing the query I can get that you probably have condition known as Rosacea over cheeks. This is one of the most common conditions on cheeks especially occurring in persons who get exposed to sun light.
For the part of small black spots all over both of my arms, shoulders there is a possibility of mild fungal infection over the affected area.
In my patients with your kind of condition I generally suggest to use a sunscreen on face and metronidazole gel over the cheek area. For the part of small black spots all over both of my arms, shoulders I generally prescribe antifungal cream such as clotrimazole cream. You can take further guidance from a dermatologist.
All the best.
