Suggest Treatment For Rashes On Body With High Levels Of Bilirubin In Blood
Hi.. I have been told that I have a high reading of bilirubin in my latest blood test results.. I currently have an all over rash from the neck down plus surfering from like I would explain as acid reflux at the top of my stomach.. Any ideas of what this could be and treatments? Rhanks
Hi, Thanks for writing to HCM. It is little difficult to predict what condition you would be suffering from as you have not shared the values of investigations that has been done. Anyway, going by what you have described, if the bilirubin levels are high and you have complaints of rashes, it goes more in favor of either hepatic jaundice or obstructive jaundice. In case you develop fever, it means this could be hepatic jaundice from infective origin. You need to consult Physician for appropriate management. Otherwise, to diagnose obstructive jaundice, you need to get your ultrasound scan of right upper quadrant of abdomen to rule out gall stone disease. Kindly consult Surgeon in this regard for appropriate clinical work-up and management. Hope the information provided would be satisfactory. All the best.
