I had a yeast infection about a month ago and got treated for it. This was when my period came. I noticed after my period I had a rash that was red in my labia and has bumbs on it like tastebuds. I used a new razor and I am allergic to nickel and I believe the razor was not nickel free. It been about a month now and the rash got better until I had my period again and the tampon string seemed to irritate it.. Could this be an allergic reaction or continuous after effects of the yeast infection.. Maybe misdiagnosed of a bacterial something? My sexual partners have been checked and are clean.
Rashes on labia in the backdrop of history of yeast infection and shaving with razor, might be related to infection or inflammation of the labia.
In my opinion you should wash it with antiseptic soap or solution and apply antibacterial and antifungal ointment like mupirocin or clotrimazole.
Maintain good hygiene and use condom during sex,
If it persists even after these measures to be taken, than you should see a gynaecologist for physical examination and battery if tests like blood for hemoglobin, CBC, liver function test, blood sugar and vaginal swab culture and KOH fixation test. You may require a course of antibiotics depending upon the reports.
you should drink plenty of fluids including plain water and fruit juices which will help by flushing off the mild infection.
