Suggest Treatment For Rashes, Chills, Nausea And Dizziness

I developed a raised red rash Friday night. Prior to Friday had 102-103 fever for 2 days. Accompanied with chills, nausea, dizziness. Barely able to keep water down. Benedryl reduced the itching but did not take the rash away. Horrible headaches that motion does not effect. Diagnosed with RA 4 months ago and on Methtrexate and prednisone.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.

I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You can also use antimalarial agents like Plaquenil (Hydroxychloroquine) per day, reduce sun exposure and also use of sunlight cream protectors with high SPF, 30-50.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,

Dr. Ilektra Xhafa(Kacareli)
