Suggest Treatment For Rash On The Scrotum

Hi, I have a rash on the underside of my scrotum and is on both testicles. It has started to spread to the inner thigh. I ve had it for a week and all I ve done is gold bond. I feel it has worsened. It is kind of leathery but it really itches. I ve done some research and it is either a fungal infection or STD. I am a virgin so it can t be an STD. It has to be fungal. I have heard to use hydrocortisone, lamsil (I don t know how to spell it), etc. I was wondering what the rash is, and if I can short-term use triamcinolone acetonide cream, USP .1%

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Rash on scrotum is most probably due to fungal infection or sexually transmitted disease (STD).
Since, you are not sexually sexually active the possibility of STD is less likely.
Fungal infection is more likely, however, a clinical assessment is necessary before any treatment is started.
Fungal infection is characterized by itchy rash on external genitalia.
Fungal infection is common in areas where skin remains wet and macerated with sweat.
Proper drying of skin is required to prevent fungal infection.
I suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider for clinical examination and thus treatment.

Thanks and take care
