Suggest Treatment For Radiating Pain On Arm, Neck And Back

I was having pain that radiated through my left arm, neck, back, and side. My bp had gone up so my doctor put me on lisinopril along with atenolol which I was already taking. Upon starting the lisinipril the pain stopped. Is this a normal symptom of high bp?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,
I had gone through your question and understand your concern very well.
I want to know certain information from your side like your age, any chronic illness, any blood reports or ECG or any investigation you had undergone. You can come back to me directly anytime after having all these information, so i can guide you in right direction.
Meanwhile i would like to tell you that high BP will rarely cause this kind of pain. There are few other signs of high BP like headache, nausea, dizziness, etc. So i would suggest you to go for your health check up including Blood sugar, renal profile including creatinine, lipid profile, ECG, chest X-ray, Echocardiography, etc.
I would also suggest you to reduce the intake of salt in your diet, do regular walking for at least 20 minutes a day, eat healthy diet, avoid oily and junk food, do meditation to remain stressfree.
Hope this will help and let me know directly if you are having any further relevant queries, i will be happy to guide you in proper direction. Wish you best health.
I find this answer helpful
