Suggest Treatment For Puss Filled Acne On Face

I have a lot of acne that grow and eventually have a lot of puss. It doesn't recede, instead puss grows and it bursts. This is indeed very embarrassing and has left a lot (really a lot) of pitting and scarring on the face. My nose has huge pores and blackhead are thus another issue. The T-section of my skin is very oily and attracts dust. Also the cheekbones area is very prone to acne. A friend suggested that I use Betnovate-C Cream for acne but obviously as rarely. I am not buying it as a lot of sites are recommending not to use them for acne explicitly. I can't afford costly procedures due to time as well as money, and the fact that these solutions are temporary rather than permanent. Kindly suggest an effective treatment for the above. My diet doesn't contain oily, fatty food; sweets and chocolates or non-vegetarian items. I would like to mention that the skin problem is more prominent during moments of stress. Thus causing even more stress. Thanking you in anticipation. Regards

Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query you have puss filled acne on face which seems to be due to clogging of skin pores and accumulation of sebum and bacteria in them. Excessive exposure to sun is the other factor responsible for your condition. I would suggest you to use product containing benzoyl peroxide. You should apply sun screen Such as TAN CARE rich in SPF 26. Drink 8-9 glasses of water daily and add fresh fruits and vegetables to your diet. You should avoid oily, sharp and spicy food. You should wash your neck area with mild soap and cold water twice a day , exfoliate your face once a week. You should take Ciprofloxacin tablet twice a day. Apply azelaic acid containing cream twice a day. If condition doesn't start getting better in a month then consult dermatologist . Doctor may prescribe antibiotics course.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
Dr. Harry Maheshwari
