Suggest Treatment For Purple Bruise Caused Due To Sunburn
I got burned really badly while at the beach. First the burns on my shins were a deep red but are now turning purple. Before the stage of turning purple they were extremely swollen and even looked like I had kankles. Now they re purple and I m freaking out. Will everything be ok?
Reddish, purplish bruises on your skin as per your query is nothing but sun burns. Your skin got exposed to UV rays of sun excessively. It could be because of oxidation of your skin due to exposure of sulphur oxides due to salty and oxidised water at beeches.
I would suggest you to avoid sun exposure as much as you can. If you have to go outside cover your skin with cloth. Tan Care a medicated cream you should use it on daily basis to get immediate relief. Use metarub to avoid purple pigmentation. You can use tea tree oil or apple cedar vinegar dipped in cotton swab and apply two times daily for 10-15 minute that will fasten healing due to oxides of sulphur. Keep area clean and dust free. Honey and cocunut oil are effective in faster recovery.
Your symptoms will start resolving in 1 week. If your symptoms keeps on persisting the you should visit dermatologist once.
Hope your concern has been resolved.
Get Well Soon.
Best Wishes, Dr. Harry Maheshwari
